| Subject: PR Visa Expiry |

My medicals expire on APR 07, 2005. I am sending the passports to the CIC office in Cairo, Egypt for visa stamp as per their request. My question is, is the PR visa has the same expiry for landing? I mean I still have to land before APR 7th or once the PR visa is on the passport then it will have a new expiry for landing?
Can some one help please

the PR Visa Expiry is the same Medical Expiry, which means you should go to canada for landing before 07 APR or you should make a medical test again,
please can you tell me in which date you sent the medical to Embassy and after you sent it, in which date you received the passport request from embassy for Visa Stamp purpose.

oracle man, are you sure that once the visa expired all you need to do is take another medical and you´re good to go ? I thought once it´s expired you have to redo the app all over again

Thankls for your answer. I have made the test on APR7, 2004 and got the request on DEC14 2004.

Yes, it is just the test because that is already my case. I have made my first test on MAY2003 and got the approval on DEC 2003 when I was not ready to leave Cairo, So I told them so, they agreed to redo the test and got the new approval on DEC 2004. I have not paid any new fees or new documents at all. The only ned documnts were the police records and updates of jobs and home addresses. That´was all.

I am in similar situation. I did my medical April 2004, PP request OCt 2004. It means the PP expiry is April 2005. BUt I am not ready to go to Canada Yet. So are you saying I can just tell them that and they will give me extension? If I can do that that´s great.
1)How did you tell them? in person or mail? what´s your reason? is there any specific reasons that are acceptable for them? was it easy to get or did you have to really convince them?
2) when you told them (that you´re not ready) did you already have your pp stamped?
3)so they extend you for 1 year and you only need to re-submit police records and updates job and home address and health test? that´s it ?
