Subject: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED- ROY, SHARON, RAY PLS HELP
  Hi,
Could you advise pls- I obtained my CSQ sometime in September and have already send my application for PR but am still waiting for feedback from the Canadian High Commission. I intend to get married soon and was just wondering what to do if my PR isn´t ready by the time I get married- Would I need to apply for a CSQ for my wife or can I get a waiver for that and then add her to my PR application? Or would the spouse sponsorship procedure apply even though I wouldn´t have migrated to Canada yet?

theres so much posting here about adding spouse, updating status...and spouse´ application rejection...

pls help yourself...

you must update immigration for any change of your status...otherwise, spouse will not be sponsored anymore...forever...by law.

apply for csq for your wife, they will put your feeral package on hold until you send them csq of ur wife
as soon as you get married you have to inform ,quebec and federal, they ll send you proper forms.
your waiting time will be extended at least doubled
but its the proper thing to do,if you hide your marriage you will be in trouble

If you marry before you get your PR you MUST notify CIC about your change in status. Failure to do so will disallow you from ever sponsoring your wife.

it will not double the time but WILL add SOME time. Sadly, you have NO options but to do this.

otherwise, land, then marry, then sponsor while your wife remains in her home country and you remain in Canada. Takes about a year.

Thanks for your responses. Can I also ask: Will my wife´s application be considered on its own merit (She doens´t qualify in her own right for CSQ) or would it be considered based on the merits of my own application?
