Subject: Dependent child status change Philippines? Help?
Hello my wife in a previous visa application listed a dependent child.
It was her sisters adopted child who she was caring for and was going to adopt. The family situation changed and her sister is caring for her again.
Will this effect her perm visa application if she applies and does not list the change or lists as no dependents?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a client from Somolia who saw a mother and father slaughtered during their war (during the Black Hawk down days) in Somalia. As a compassionate man he picked up their baby and raised the child as his own. There was no way to find out who the parents where or any of their relatives.

When things got real rough for him he fled to Canada and made a refugee claim which he won easily being who he is/was!

Now trying to get him and his family Landed status has become a nightmare since this child is not either his wife or his biological child. He has been waiting seven years and now I´m very close to success. Issues with kids are my specialty especially with several newspapers begging for stories like this.

You need to go into GREAT detail on why you want to exclude this child that you probably listed as your son/daughter without a prefix or suffix.

Child under the IRPA & IRPR has a special definition of a person under 18 who is (legally) the applicants child.

I wish you all the best!
