Subject: Canada PR card and US green Card
I am canadian PR card holder also holding a US green card , My wife is American citizen, currently i live and reside in the US. planning to visit relatives in Kitchener, so if enter and cross the border from US to Canada as a US green card "US Perm resident", would that cause a problem ?
I do maintain my status in canada and i have 3 years out of 5 to live outside canada as PR card holder, the main reason why i want to enter canada using my US green card is the fact that my canadain PR card expired.
So realy i do not know if i enter canada with my US green card , would that cause any issues ?

You can enter Canada with your US GC without any issue at all. No need to mention anything about your Canadian PR ship.

However, be aware that officially US doesn´t allow you to keep residency of Canada if you do not commute to US daily (like Windsor/Detroit). I read a story in another forum a lady´s GC was cancelled immediately at the border as she mistakenly told that her residency was in Canada. So..be cautious.
