Hello everyone,
i need ur help..iv been here about 6 yrs illegal in canada. its been a 1yr ive been with my bf. and we´re getting married in a week, and we will apply for to have my status here. i dont know much about immigration. would u suggest to hire a lawyer, or a consultant?if yes can u suggest someone in montreal area? or my case is to complicated to do it by ourself?

I don´t know too much about the immigration laws, but do you honestly think that they will approve your marriage visa if you have been in Canada illegaly???

You can apply as a sponsor if your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or accompanying dependent children live with you in Canada, even if they do not have legal status in Canada. However, all the other requirements must be met.

My advice is amazing.
It just doesn´t make sense to me that someone living illegaly in Canada for 6 years can be sponsored to stay there.

When your asking for advice Anonymous you have to have some patience.
What amazes me is that "you claim" you have been here for SIX YEARS illegally and you are asking if you get married can you apply from within Canada. Why does this not sound logical?
Anonymous you don´t hang out with any other fellow country members, immigration and immigration news does not interest you nor your partner. Yet you found this site, hmmmm.
Last night I met a potential client who has been in Canada illegally for twenty years earning a better then average wage, Elvis.
Here are the forms but without you trying to make your application the best it can be your looking at waiting a few more years. Be sure to tell the truth that you are working without authorization.

I think I have a simple suggestion to the Canadian Govt: please deport all the illegals as soon as they are found and let us deal with their marriage or other crap while they are outside Canada. Since you don´t have a SIN number, I am sure you don´t pay taxes and leeching off of the society so you are a great burden to the system and the tax-paying citizens. OUT WITH THE ILLEGALS!
