The immigration officer informed me that my medical has expired, that I should redo it, pls does this mean that they are through with my application,how long does the medical take to be processed and after that what next.

Stop spinning your wheels. Contact any DMP Designated Medical Practitioner and do your medical. Everything is computerized so expect six weeks to get your COPR.
First you have to do the medical.
