Subject: Quebec immigration

Hi,

My Quebec immigration is at the final stage. I would like to know wether I will have to stay there for a couple of months to get the PR and SIN cards or I can immidiately go to Ontario where I am planning to settle down and get PR and SIN from there. Is there any kind of minimum stay condition in Quebec ?. I have searched net but can´t seem to find answer. Please reply. Thanks

you promised CIC that you were going to Quebec and on that basis you are claiming Quebec selection. what you are suggesting is that you lied!

not nice.

Sharon,

It was my immigration consultant who filed petition on my behalf.
I did not know at that time that Quebec is French speaking province.

Anyway, I would appreciate if I get the required information.

Thanks

U need to stay in Quebec for 3 yrs if u r QS applicant (in reply to: Quebec immigration)
you need to stay for atleast 3 years if you are quebec selected applicant. Then if you are not happy u can move to other places. Careful, ur PR can be recalled if they find u r not abiding the rules. well, still there are some people who take risk of moving to other places and settle. But its still a risk.

this is not very clear to me either. the reason why some people apply to Quebec, it´s because the processing time is shorter. A friend of mine applied through Quebec, got the PR, landed in Quebec and 1 week later moved to Toronto.

I already told him about the risk he would take in moving to Toronto straightaway after landing. So what he did, when he landed, he asked the immigration officer whether he could move to Toronto. And the answer he got is that he could move anytime he wanted to anywhere in Canada!
