Medical March 2005
I received a letter today 11/01/05 that my PR is approved and I should submit my passport for visa within 30 days.
If I respond within 30 days that puts it around 11/02/05 and my medical expires in March. Is there a way I can request immigration officer to extend my medical for a few months. If so how should I proceed. I am waiting for my H1 renewel (should get in by March) so it is very important that I can extend my data of entry to canada
please advise

(in reply to: Canadian Immigration : Please advise : medical expires) No way to extend. You have only to redo another teat and get another year. If you accept that then call them/ mail them with your case in details. Take care that if you go this way, the overall process will take over a year to get a new approval.
Good Luck

(in reply to: Canadian Immigration : Please advise : medical expires) The person who issues your visa may automatically grant you a 6 month extension on the validity of your medical results as there would only ´techinically´ be roughly a month for you to land between when the visa is issued and your medicals currently expire.
My recommendation is that you include a letter, when you send your passport in for visa stamping, asking that they please consider allowing you until say June/July to enter the country so you have enough time to get all your affairs in order before landing. It can´t hurt to try.
