Subject: Canada a labourers paradise.
  Hi,

I had been to Canada in the year 2003. I had my PR there and saw the pathetic conditions in which the people of this so-called advanced country living. I realised immediately that this country is a paradise for labourers.
I saw very few professionals there. There I came to know "networking" and "cold call" which is nothing but begging in a sophisticated manner. Or in other words we can say ?whites? way of begging. There u don?t have to be qualified but u should know people so that u can get back door entry into any organisation. Canadians and their government know very well that if they put an open competition for all (based on qualification, experience, technical skills and intelligence) all the natives will be working at the mercy of immigrants. This is the reason that they have made the system complex to safeguard their interests.
In four months time I secured a job in Singapore and came back. I still wonder how the economy of such labourer?s country survives.
I am software professional and have an experience of more than 10 years. Throughout my career I have worked with global giants. I found it very difficult for me to live in Canada and thus I came back.
My suggestion to the new immigrants is that if you are ready for any damn thing then go to Canada and live there. A man of self-respect will never go to such place.

Let us say you came, you saw, and you left!! A very scientific approach indeed. There is a rapper who said the wise words, "Get in where you fit in." I hope you are enjoying your other life. Since you have PR in Canada, may I suggest you keep trying now and then and see if you find or come up with a fitting position? New world is always appealing to the manual labor.

you walked into a system that every Canadian worker must live with. Marketing yourself and your skills to a potential buyer - an employer. That is how it works in most of the western world. Depending on what you choose to do for employment, the task is easier or more difficult. If you approach the situation with an attitude that the Canada should be falling all over themselves just to have you... you will be very frustrated. Do you have any idea how many excellent software engineers are out there with 10 year of experience? The trick is to decide what makes you different and therefore the best candidate for a job.

The notion that Canada is a garden with trees of money and jobs and an easy life is a delusion.

This is a genuine question that I really would like to try and understand. May I please ask why you decided to come to Canada in the first place? What were you looking for, what did you expect? How did Canada fail you?

These are not angry questions. Perhaps Canada can do a better job of explaining to prospective immigrants what they might expect.

Hopefully others on this forum will answer the same question.

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for your reply. In the first instance I looked at Canada as a place where one can go and settle easily. When I say easily it means a good job moderate salary and all that is needed for a bit comfortable life.
But when I reached there and saw the situation I was really upset because great talented people were doing nonsense jobs with a hope that some day something will happen.
In most of the organizations bosses are uneducated whites (when I say uneducated it simply means compared to these talented people).
For me I never did nonsense jobs in my life and will never do. My wife and me worked for CIBC for a period of two months and earned much more money than we spent on our immigration process. In the mean while I tried in Singapore where I have been residing for the last 8 years.
I cam back back in Oct 2003 and joined HP I even went to Australia on official tour and realised my real worth. Today I am with Standard Chartered Bank and working for Royal Bank of Scotland. Here I will be writing user and technical manuals for European users.
What I mean tt tell u is that Canadian Govemrment is showing false hopes and it is being debated in the parliament there and soon the government will resolve this issue.
One more thing I will be coming back again in 2006 June and will win my bettle then.
