| Subject: Last Profession out of 38 |

Dear All,
I am happy to see this Forum, I have a question which might sound silly to you all.
My Wife has started her own Private Secondary School a month ago, before that she was a Lecturer in a College for 2.5 Years. Does She qualify for 38 Professions list as a Lecturer? Because, in the newly published Guide it says the last profession should be among the 38 Professions. But is also says that include the Experience which happened in last 10 Years? It is bit confusing to me. Will she be taken as a School Administrator or a Lecturer for Assessment/Points purpose?

If you continue reading Step 3, it goes on to say:
"Look through the NOC list to see if your experience matches another occupation. Check all the jobs you have had in the past 10 years to see if you have at least one continuous year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience in a job that will qualify you as a skilled worker."
The way I read that paragraph to mean that if you had a job in the last 10 years where you worked for at least 1 year in a profession that is one of the 38 listed, you should be able to apply.

Also, if you look at the following site:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/tool/tool_06.asp
It clearly states:
"You must have had at least one year of continuous full-time experience in this job within the last 10 years."
Again, from that I would read that it does not have to be current occupation.
