Hi, Can anyone clarify this for me please?
As per the CIC site, one must apply in the country of nationality or country of residence if one has been legally admitted for at least one year.
Does it mean that we have to complete one year of stay or can we apply as soon as we enter the country on a valid study/ work permit of one year or more?

But one or more of what? Permit or stay? I am in Canada from Sept.2004 on a one year study permit. Can I apply now?

Since you have not been in Canada more then a year, your application will not be processed in Canada, but in country of nationality.

ok, if you wanna apply in Buffalo, you have to live in Canada(legally, no matter, vistor, student, work) at least one year or more. That´s the pre-requist, otherwise you have to apply in your homecountry.

The cover page of the kit has clear explaination which is not including in the online form, anyone who gonna apply at Buffalo office. I suggest them to order one rather than print the online form

Can anyone clear the following point : for applying from other country (not from Native) - Do we need to have one year valid visa or One year valid Stay ?
