Subject: Authorization to return to canada
I´m sponsoring my wife who was deported from Canada after a refugee claim and PRRA. I know I have to write an ARC.
By question is:

1- Is there forms I have to fill out?
2- Is there any addition documents that need to be attached?
3- How long should the letter be (How much detail)?
4- How long does it take before it?s processed?
5- When and to whom do I send the letter?

Thanks,

1.) You are not to write the ARC letter it should be her words.

You can also write how much you miss your wife, the fact that she took bad advice and that you know she is sorry for her actions or lack of actions, etc.

2.) Not necessarily unless some really unusual circumstances.

3.)Length of the letter is a personal thing normally no longer then one page 12 font.

4.) Depends on the Visa Post

5.) With the initial application that is sent to Mississauga CPC or when the Visa Post requests same. Not much of a time difference. If her Visa Post requires people to apply for a CVV it will take a couple of months longer.

Wish you all the best.

Why should ARC take longer if CVV is required for that country, since the ARC is related with a PR application?
Its understandable if the applicant ask for another temporay visa.
Thanks ROY

TMc think for a second.

Okay listening?

When a CVV is required the approval of the ARC has to be bumped up higher then just the local officer. Saint Vincent applicants do not require CVV´s but Grenada does and they both use Port of Spain, Trinidad as their visa post.

Any time you have two cooks in the kitchen supper always takes longer.

An amazing thing happened today.

My common-law had a call in notice from CBSA to receive her removal date (for the second time!).
Just before we left for the interview we received a letter from CIC for an interview regarding our in-Canada spousal sponsorship.
This was enough for the CBSA office not to set another removal date (for the second time). Hopefully our interview will go well and I can put this nightmare behind me and get on with my life with my family.

authorization to return to canada {A49} (in reply to: Authorization to return to canada)
I submitted my application which is being sponsored by my spouse in december 2007 and it was sent from CPC mississauga to the canadian high commission in Ghana in march 2008 and on December 31 2008 my spouse got an email stating that we should be expecting a letter soon. We eventually got that letter on february 9 2009, and in the letter I was requested to submit another set of fingerprints which will be sent to RCMP for criminal check as well as apply for an authorization to return to canada and copies of my refugee decisions. The cause of inadmissibility in my case was stated as A49, Can anybody please let me know what A49 means, I am curious to find out before I submit my application. Thank you very much your cooperation.
Vic.
