Hi... well, let´s see... you can get at maximum of 16 points for language (High Proficiency)... 4 for each category (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking)...

In order for you to claim a High Proficiency level you must score 7.0 or more in each of the categories already mentioned...

OR...

You could get a combination of scores that will allow you te get the 9 points you need...

Just keep this in mind :

for High proficiency you need to score 7.0 or more to get 4 points (per category)

for Moderate Proficiency you need to score between 5.0 and 6.9 to get 2 points (per category)

for Basic Proficiency you need to score between 4.0 and 4.9 to get 1 point (per category)...

So as you can see... it really depends on how well you do in each of the sections of the test and how many points you get from each... sometimes people get really good scores on the written part and not such a good score on the speaking part... so it is a balance act...

But the good news is that there are 16 points available for you to grab by taking the IELTS that will be more than enough to get you the 9 points you need...

Good Luck!

Oh, by the way... I don´t think anyone here can tell you how well you will do on the IELTS... you may ask your English teacher, she/he might be able to tell... ;O)
