This is an update:
I called the Ottawa Medical Immigration Center (I don´t know if this is the right name) and left a message last night to the person in charge, inquiring about the status of my medical result. She called me back today at 9am (New York Time). She said that my medical result has been finalized since June 2004. Now I know that it is the background check that has been delaying my application.
Aki, thanks for the information about this person as per your advice to the fellow on the other thread.
Any updates from you guys is appreciated.

U r welcome. I would suggest request ur CAIPS Notes as it´s been long and u will get some view of what´s going on since then. I requested mine just 10 days back.

i thought of ordering CAIPS but I am low on money. also, i heard ordering CAIPS will slow down the process because CIC people will have to pull out your files literally. still i feel that i´ll get my visa very soon.

Can you please post the contact number for the Ottawa Medical place you mention. I want to confirm my medical reciepts as well.
