time frame

Subject: time frame

hi h r u , i applied as spouse sponsorship since december 2008 , i got approved in July 18 and they told usually it takes 6 month to get my visa which ends in January 18 2009.
My questions are:
1-is it true the 6 month frame? espicially i am still waiting

2-if yes do u have any idea how long it takes after the 6 month time frame ?
