Subject: Work visa, spouse out of status in US
Hello, thanks ahead for all your input.

My question is this:
I am currently in US on F1 visa. I have a job offer from a canadian employer. My wife is here with me, but she is out of status (visa expired).
Do you think there will be any problems when I will request a dependend visa for her when I will go to Canada to work?
Meaning - will the canadian officer ask for her status here in US?

I think the office will ask only mine status (which is OK as i said, I am on F1 visa) but will the officer ask for my wife´s status too? And if the status will be asked will it influence negatively the fact that she is Out of Status?

Thank you.

You and your wife are applying for temporary status in Canada.

Your wife was granted temporary status in the USA and failed to comply.

Question 20 & 21 are worded in such a way that NOT MUCH will have to be disclosed. Proof of No Convictions will have to be sought.

Cross your fingers.
