Subject: OWP,when should I take the medical tests? |

As a spouse of foreign worker (NOC Class A), I am currently in Canada as a visitor and I intend to apply for Open Work Permit to be with my husband.
I am aware this will require a medical examination, pls, what is the best time to go for the medical tests, before I submit my OWP application or I must wait for CIC to request for it before I do it.
I am thinking of ways to save some time if possible.
I need your advise

(in reply to: OWP,when should I take the medical tests?) For the permanent resident applications, the medical exams are done only after passing the initial assessment and receiving a letter requesting you do the medical exams. I assume the same procedure applies for work permit applications, but I am not sure.

(in reply to: OWP,when should I take the medical tests?) You should apply for OWP first.
Only after that, if and when CIC thinks that you do need a medical test, they will send you the necessary forms.
Medical tests are not to be taken on your own accord. They should always be "requested" by CIC.
