Subject: Needed Advice?
  Hello
I am a new member joining this helpful forum which I knew about it from my friend who advise me to write to you all.
My situation is:
I was engineer officer (Civil & Building) in Iraqi army, graduated with bachelor degree from Baghdad civil engineering collage.
All my CV was in housing and construction works and projects in several civil state companies. My duties were pure civilian and I did not join any combat or military activities.
My juridical record is clear and I had not been convicted with any charges ,criminals or offenses.
My rank was high in the army and I am retired since 2004 .
I am working with respectable construction company in the middle east now.
My occupation included within the highly demanded new list for Federal Skilled Worker, I think I can earn more than 70 points which is adequate for immigration requirements.
My questions are: is it better to mention my real rank and my all military history? will this reduce my acceptance chances? or
Am I write all my CV as civilian engineer and do not speak anything about my military service?
Because of this important issue I hesitate to complete my applications.
I will be grateful for any advices about this.

Tell the truth. Your background is not a problem to immigrate to Canada.

As Edu said... you must tell the truth during at all times or you may pay for it later... plus CIC will also ask you to fill out forms in which you have to declare if you have or had any association with military groups... you must be honest... I don´t see why you have to hide your high ranking carreer.
