Subject: Need advise...
My partner and I applied for canadian citizenship in USA 3 years ago. She was the primary applicant (skilled worker) and i was the secondary applicant and we applied as common law partner (same sex). We were granted our permanent residency and have been in canada since 2005. My parner was going through a gender identity disorder and have decided to transition to become a FTM (female to male) after living in Toronto for 1 year. We broke up because I identify as a lesbian and couldnt continue living with someone who identifies as a staright guy.

My question for anyone who is reading this who has some knowledge about my situation:

- I have applied for my citizenship and it is in process. Since we came into this country as common law partners, will I be facing any challenges in getting my citizenship approved because I am no longer with my partner?
- I have filed my taxes individually and in my citizenship form, i have indicated that i am single.

Please advise.

Thanks

NO problems with citizenship but changing from a woman to a man should be a good trick!

Changing from a man to a woman is just snip off some then snip then snip some more and an awful lot of medication.

Well, it was a challenging transition process.. but from a partner view, i learned alot and got an indepth understanding about someone transitioning.

are you sure there would be no problem with my citizenship application?

My ex requested me to inform him if i was on any social assistant over the last 3 years since he is financially responsible as i was the secondary applicant..

can you clarify
