I am dating someone who is not a Canadian citizen. If we get married will I need to sponsor him? What other obligations would I be responsible for , if any?

Just obligation him for 3 years even if you seperate or divorce you should be responsible to sponser him for 3 years .

Divorce Law in Canada can be seen to protect ones rights or to hurt ones rights.
If he lives in your house which you own and the relationship ends you will have difficulty selling it if he wishes to stay there.
I think your question is......IS HE USING ME?
Why do you not delay the whole process for a while until your not on the internet asking this question because your positive it is the right thing to do!

I married a non Canadian 5 years ago but I left him early into the marriage because it became very clear he was using me. Would the divorce procedure be the same as one for two Canadians?
