Like it says on my web site (I do not sell Canada)!

When one chooses to Immigrate they normally pick another country based on many things including their children.

You seemed to focus on money primarily, why?

Even when you pick a country you should look at (how) you want to live your life and (what) you want to do on a daily basis. What is important to you, your hobbies, your kids and the woman/man you seem to have left out of the equation.

Even when you pick a particular country focus on your life style because if you like sailing picking a location in the middle of the US or Canada would eliminate that opportunity.

If you like the big city life choose a big city if you like the quite life do not pick the big city.

Such a silly question!!!!

You and your family are the only ones that can answer this question and it is not a us or them situation. It is a YOU YOUR FAMILY situation!

As already told currently I am in USA. What is the landing process...How much time it takes to complete all formalities. Once I got the Landing papers what is the next step....

We had so many posts ,of people who are totaly confused when they know that the visa stamping is soon.
Should i stay in UAE?
Australia or Canada?
Can i come to Canada and pick up PR and come back US on H1B?
and more and more.....
The answer is clear: COURAGE
courage to choose one way.
Some guy around here, got his landing pappers and a week after r
ecieved a letter from kentucky consular center saying he won the green card loterie (green card in a golden plate)
he just withrawed the gc process and made his life in canada.
when the time came to apply for canada citizenship he was so happy to answer NO to the question that state if he obteined other country resdidence permit.
he is now happy citizen, spend his vacations in florida and vegas....

The choice between Canada and US is not easy and mainly depends on the individual situation and on your goal of moving to North America.

I have to post few points:

- No doubt that the US has much more opportunities, higher payments and more technologically advanced.

- The successful stories in all aspects of life coming from the US are much more than those coming from Canada.

- For Canada, people always stress on the notions of the health system and children education. While this issue extremely importants for some families or persons with chronic illnesses, it is not the case for others (like single persons or couples without families).

- The high studies and high education in the US is undoubtedly better and more reputable than Canada. US universities are far advanced in their education than their Canadian counterparts. Not to mention that the number of universities and institutions in the US is much more than in Canada and their admission regulations are more flexible.

- If you are professional and wants to work in your field ==> US is definitely better than Canada. US offers much more opportunities than Canada for professionals..you have higher chances to get a job in your feild compared with your chances in Canada.

If you are not professional and can work in any kind of job just for living (can have free business or self-employed)==> Canada might be better.

- In the era of post 9/11 world, Canada might be better.

- If you just want to get rid of your miserable citizenship, then Canada is the best in this world for this purpose.

- It also depends on how you define "life style"...If you live in bitter cold and heavy snow in Canada most of the year, this will not be my life style even if I have fancy house and luxurious car!!

Overall, it depends on your goals and situation....

For those who are on H1 visa in the States, I recommend that you try to gain some experience in the States and have good savings before you decide to move to Canada...In certain fields, having some US experience is much better than non-US experiences..moreover, Canada will drain your money especially in the beginning of your life here..so make sure you have good savings. Nevertheless, if you feel comfortable in the States and you believe that the H1 status will eventually take you to US green Card for sure, I would choose to stay in US.

If I have opportunities to obtain citizenship/permanent residence of both Canada and US and the two opportunities are equal, I will certainly choose US.

Notice also that most of those who defend Canada are actually living in Canada. If they have the opportunity to live in the US or obtain its PR, GC or citizenship, they will never do so. For certain reason, I never heard anyone defedning Canada and live in the US and already secured US GC or citizenship .

Overall, I am a US defender.

I am a successful professional here in the States. US gave the decent training, decent education, and also the money. I was not subjected to any discrimination. Securing a job in the US in my field was not a big hassle. Canadians totally dependent on the US in the technology in my field. Based on my qualifications in the US, I obtained a job in Canada and I plan to moving to Canada just because of the citizenship goal. I found that the immigration issue in the US is very lengthy and also not guaranteed. Within 3 years in Canada, I will have the Canadian citizenship which allows me to go back to the US. During the period of time, I will just be on US GC. My purpose of moving is to secure the citizenship ONLY.

I heard many stories from my co-workers, colleagues who went to Canada .......The only ones who defended Canada are those who failed to establish their life in the US..I never heard any one in the US (Pure Americans, Forigners with US citizenship, or GC) defended Canada.

The only thing i heard is the the free health system and children education...

Although you pay insurance in the States, it won´t be a big deal if you make money. You are NOT going to the hospital everyday...long lines of waiting is a bid issue in Canada because of the free system..therefore it won´t be a big plus, as people make it. Education in the US is also very decent ..for both KIDS and ADULTS!!!!!!!

Taking a canadian citizenship just to have a free visa policy
for most countries is:
CHEATING
its not better than those who get married and leave their partners after landing.
the 1 st case means that you cheated on a whole nation.

If you take a canadian citizenship means that you love canada.

using the citizenship polycies just to have a passport
not more than cheating

anyone here read the news? both economies are in the toilet and there is no telling when they will come out of it. All bets are off regarding job opportunities and future success in either country.

If the US is sitting at 7-10% unemployment, how many green cards do you think they will be handing out?

What´s easier, what will make me rich faster, what will give me, give me give me. what´s free - stay home-neither country needs people simply interested in taking.

´Only securing citizenship´ is an insult to every Canadian on this site. In fact, it disgusts me.

I just made a simple comparison. I am not willing to use the citizenship as posted above as I may stay here for ever, especially if the siuation in the US worsenes. I meant the citizenship opens doors for you...it doesn´t harm to go back to the US if you find a job in the US better than yours in Canada. Unfortunately, I saw poeple have this goal only.

there s a lot of peoples who scure citizenship and go back
to their third world country ,and says to every girl they meet that they are canadian and give her hope for marriage
and keep sleeping around ...and playing their smart...

if things turn bad in that country like a war or earth quick
they even don t stay with the peoples who are suffuring
and beg harper to send a ship to bring them back.and leave one more time their home country......

this is a disgusting behaviour,if ou don t care about canada don t take their citizeship
