Subject: Car to Canada
I plan on landing in Canada in next couple months. I plan on driving from the US. Does anybody know whether I will have an option to import my vehicle at a later date? .

Thanks

Yes, you can import your car later. But at landing, you´ll need to explain why. Usually the fact that you´re not finished moving and need to return is sufficient. This reason also needs to be stated because as a newly landed PR, you´d normally not be able to take your U.S. registered car into Canada, by law.

You will be able to drive the car,but its better to sell than to carry it to Canada before moving. There are lot extra you needs while driving a car in Canada(i was in Ontario),like you should have 24 hours lights ON while driving, you should have a valid US license for 2+ years for driving. You need to get emission certificate before registering .
