hi everyone.
i have been checking my spouse´s status online. until i checked the file formats, DIDNT see the same as what is on his letter from embassy.
it says, ´an immigration file has now been opened´.
but if we try to check it...we cant. i mean...
his file starts with G#########.
anyone with the same case/

yes Carrie. i use it everytime i try e-cas.
when i checked the Identification help...as i might have this wrong format, i didnt find any ID that starts with "G".
so i guess we can never check it.
i dont know....but i am waiting for some help....

(in reply to: File Number format) All Visa Posts files start with B and then nine digits. Some Visa Posts have their own e-cas type of system that is far superior to e-cas on www.cic.gc.ca
I don´t know one Visa Post that does not provide at least some stickers with the file number (bar code) so people can update address changes etc.
