Hi All,
following is the letter receved by my brother from CHC. As per considering the new immigration law what is your openion about this letter is this is good sign ? he applied under IT(applied 2005 March in INDIA).
At this point he need to send the updated documents + Landing fee whic has not send at the time of application(they have not requisted for updated documents) ?
Dear Applicant,
This letter is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Citizenship and Immigration Canada requests that you confirm whether or not you are still interested in immigrating to Canada.
If you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and you wish to withdraw your application, please confirm that you want to withdraw by sending a letter within 90 days to the Canadian High Commission in Delhi and we will return your full application fee.
If we do not hear from you, we will assume your continued interest in immigrating to Canada,
and your application and fees will be retained for processing. No further offer to return you fee will be sent. When we are ready to actively begin processing your application we will contact you to request updated information.
Please do not make any inquiries about the status of your file.
Thank you for your interest in CAnada. If you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and would like a full refund of your application fee, please notify us within the next 90 days.

truth? I see it as CIC telling you that the wait is going to be much longer than anticipated and this is an opportunity to get your money back.
Before you do this, see if your brother might qualify under the new rules. If so, a new application may be in his best interest.
