Im a medical radiation technologist, I want to immigrate to Canada. I just want to inquire what type of exam in ielts should I take since there are two types of exam, the academic and general? anyway I am from the Philippines.

Understanding the IELTS chart (in reply to: new 38 professions IELTS Requirements)
I do not understand the chart.What does the left column mean?What is actually CLB/SLC 8-12,CLB/SLC 6-7 or CLB/SLC 4-5?
Suppose having a lisening score 7.5,what will be the point?Is the point same for the range 6.5-9.0?

you get nothing for less than 4.0 in any of the sections.
4.0-4.9 you get 1, maximum 2 if the immigration officer is merciful to you. anything above that you get ful 4 points. refer to the pictures I have provided the links

Please, do yourself a very big favour... do not try to come to Canada with english scores like that. Even if you have the points, it will be very, very hard to get a job in your profession.

hi how are you i am fine i can applay for canada immigration for fidralskillworker i was given ielts exm and GT ielts l-4.5,r-4,w-4 s-5 overall band score 4.5 that i am 10th pass and 2years trade of i.t.i FITTER and 1years apprenticeship training and 10years work experience and my uncle now staying canada citizenship so all total point 68 that you can advise for me i can applay yes or no you can replay sir my mail account

Dear all,
Me and my wife are planning to have immigration for canada. Passing marks is 67 and we are securing 81 marks with English proficiency 16. If we deduct the 16 points our points are 65 without english proficiency. I need to ask that in this case can we be exempted from IELTS test? She is Masters and I am 4 years professional degree holder and we are working in U.A.E.

IELTS is only exempted to those whose English is a first or mother language in their home country.
It does not matter if you she is Master and you have 4 years of professional degree.
When I applied for myself under FSW from Dubai 10 years ago, I had my MBA from US and was working in Jebel Ali as Marketing Consultant with a global FMCG.
I still had to go for an IELTS.
