Subject: TEF test
I have recently recieved letter from the Canadian High Commission in Paris to submit documents for Permanent residence in Canada under Federal skilled workers category. To qualify I have 65 points without TEF for french language. However last year I have done 6 months Basic french course from Belgium alongside with my Masters studies.
As I have chosen french as second language for immigration purpose, is it ok to submit that french certificate and calculate 2-3 points more to make points 67 or 68?The French certificate was issued in june 2008.

An enquiry about the TEF test (in reply to: TEF test)
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have around 64 points according to the on-line point calculator on the self-assessment Canada immigration website. I want to take the 3 compulsory modules i.e Reading Comprehension / Listening Comprehension / Vocabulary and Sentence Structures and one optional modules only i.e: Written Expression. I will not take the Oral Expression. Is it still possible to submit my application if I get another 3 points from the Reading Comprehension and Written Expression without taking the Oral Expression at all ?

Best Regards,

S.H.Lo

IELTS is 4 streams of qualification.

Shing, something for you to think about - poor language skills is almost a guarantee of poor employment opportunities. If you can´t communicate - who is going to hire you? Nobody.
