Subject: Sponsor living outside canada
I am Pakistani national living on working visa in Saudi Arabia since 2002 and married to a Canadian citizen. We got married in Aug´05 and she got the Canadian PP in Jul´06. She is living with me in Saudi Arabia since Jan´06. We are blessed with 2 children; both of them have the Canadian PP issued from Riyadh. We also have received citizenship for our elder daughter who will be 2 yr in March´09.

Now I want to apply for sponsorship we have gather all the support as instructed in application guide. But we are not sure where to send this application. There are no immigration services available in Canadian embassy Riyadh. As per the info available on web site of Abu Dhabi office they don´t entertain this type of case.

Please advice us where to send out documents. Feel free to ask any info that you may require.

The application kit has the address you need for mailing your application to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Mississauga, Ontario (for family members living outside Canada)

Once the all forms are properly filled out and all supporting documents are gathered, you must send the complete application kit to the following address:

Case Processing Centre ? Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario L5A 4N6

Good luck!

hold everything. We still need clarification on our question. IF the Canadian is a PR and got that documentation AFTER the marriage and did not declare that marriage - they have a serious problem.

The information provided is very confusing

is the wife a PR or Citizen
if PR... when did she land
If PR... did the marriage occur before or after landing
If marriage occured before landing was husband listed on the application

sharon thank you for ther reply,

My wife is citizen
we got married after she landed, i.e.she had PR status at the we got married
we are not awar of regestration/reporting process/requirment for a canadian citizen getting married to any other national.

You can leave Canada - for sure. Your Canadian spouse can start the process by applying to sponsor you. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible to apply from within Canada (in-Canada spousal sponsorship). Only drawbacks about in-Canada application - your wife will have to support you until you get your conditional approval, which could take about 8 months ... and during this time, you may not be able to work or have medical coverage. The only exception is people who are here on a work permit and just keep renewing their work permit until the conditional approval arrives. Another drawback to in-Canada spousal sponsorship, there is no appeal at IAD if the application is refused ... for example, if officer deemed the marriage is not genuine. Good luck.
