dear sir/ma´am,
just wondering if i can have a vacation to the philippines even if im still 4mos here in canada.my boss will have thier vacation in the US for a month and i cannot go with them since i dont have US Visa yet.ive been working in Taiwan for 3years and didnt had a vacation,thats why im so delighted that i can go home even for a month.
If someone in there knows about this please let me know.
my friends here said its impossible to have a vacation if you didnt stay here for a year and that worries me.I dont want to have a hard time getting a re-entry permit in the philippines.so please help me!!!!!

yes you could elvie.
but u need to have a valid entry visa so u can go in and out of Canada.
if not, u need to obtain re entry from buffalo, or get it from manila.
u also need supporting letters from ur employer about your plan.

1- What is your status in Canada?
And Buffalo is a city in New York, really close to the Canadian border.

about T-4...or tax copy...i dont think u have one.
u may have your cheques photocopied, and submit them together.
where in Canada are you?

actually im still almost 2mos in here,ill be 4mos in april when i plan to have a vacation.i still even dont have that T-4 or any cheque.
thanks very much now i understand about that Buffalo.coz i was confuse,im going home to the phil. and not going to the US.and u said i can get re-entry from buffalo.
another question:
can i get a temporary US Visa so that instead of going home i can join my employer when they go to hawaii for vacation??

i wonder how are you getting paidby your emplyoer then.
if no cheques or T4, u may show proof of your fund from your bank account. bec one of the requirements is "proof to support yourself in Canada".
u may obtain US visa, but since u are new here, i am not sure convincing that would be to US Officers and depending on how supportive your employer is about that matter.
in your entry visa here, if youre only like months old here, can u pls check the validity, if its multiple entry or single entry on your passport?
i hope u have checked the link i put here so u can start completing your forms for Buffalo

they gave me cash.but hopefully for my second salary it would be cheque and so i can open an account.i choose to have a monthly salary.
i had a multiple visa,the thing im not sure if its taipei or phils.bec i process my visa and everything in taiwan.
bout my working visa i had 39mos to work in here.thats the immigration gave me but in my LMO only 2yrs.
i checked also that IMM 5257 form,is that what i need for re-entry visa?

check if u your multiple visa is still valid until after your vacation...
better call CIC about it if youre unsure.
yes IMM5257. and the documents as listed on the checklist.
