| Subject: does world crisis affect processing times & grants |

Hi.
I´m just wondering if the current financial problems that the world is suffering right now will somehow affect the processing times and grants of visa to those people who applied as new immigrants, whether it is sponsored parents or skilled worker category?
I´ve got friends who lost their jobs in Calgary. I´m sponsoring my parents does this really affect the immigration? a friend just told me about this.

i don´t think so...the embassy here in manila has been granting Visas as scheduled, even with the looming economic crisis.
