  [PLEASE READ]

We appologize to all people respecting others on this forum.
There are some rude people who for some reason (it is far behind my understanding) continuosly trying to be rude, ignorant and trying to offend others.

As most of us know, it is not only the case on this forum but generally in life. Anywhere you go, you will come accross some ignorant people (who might be ignorant for a reason), but it is our responsibility to IGNORE them.

So, do yourself good and don´t respond to messages like this guy is stup***, that girl is sombrero and so on. This is the way to make ignorant people get lost.

If you need help or if you would like to help, PLEASE by all means stay here, we need people like that. Read the rules, obey the rules we are all same people, perhaps some of us will be neighbours soon. Our kids will go to the same school, and maybe my son will marry your daughter or vice versa. I was immigrant, I am immigrant and I am Canadian at the same time, yet I am proud to be who I am and what I do.

Thank goodness we live in a country where cyberspace is free and there is no limit to how many threads are posted, and thank goodness nobody has to read anything that does not interest them (those who do not like this - please take note!)

I know what you mean Sharon, but it is not free, almost nothing is free, however, the best thigs are Free things. Free is love, free is health, free is happiness and other free things like that.

This forum is not free, someone had to design it, someone needs to administer it, someone needs to modarate it. There are two things that we get in return:
1. Satisfaction that other people will get help
2. little income from you visiting advertisemetns.

We do not encourage you to click on these ads, but take a look on them they are actually RELATED to your topics and you may want to visit them in that case.

Thank you - Enjoy!

my dear webmasters...
Please forgive my shortsighted comment about ´free´. No, this is not free - we just pretend it is. You run this as a labour of love but also a business. As much as I dislike the idea of the google ads, I understand them and respect your need to include them. At least they are relevant - so thank you.

as for how we use this place - in Canada we have unrestricted access to the interent. no sites are blocked from our view, and there is no clandestine political forces waiting to arrest us for comments against our government that we might want to post. While we joke that there are immigration officers hiding in this forum, I highly doubt it.

We as users must respect this freedom and generousity.

Canada is not just about jobs, it is about people too. This forum is a perfect place to practice being a Canadian. Treat your neighbours with respect, learn how to listen and not judge, and offer a helping hand when somebody needs it.

so, when you are inclined to mouth off with rude and demeaning remarks ...remember the priviledge we share on this site, remember the country you want to call home - and act accordingly.

I always thought that there were some universals among the different cultures of the world and respect towards others was one of them. I didn´t think it would be necessary to tell others "this is how we act in Canada" but I guess I give the human race too much credit. I am disappointed. As I mentioned in replies to previous posts, "What does someone get by making others feel bad?" That´s crummy. Remember, what may be obvious to you may not be so obvious to someone else. That is why they ask they question. I worked as a teacher for five years and always told my students "there are no stupid questions". It´s true that you may get tired of answering the same questions over and over and over and over (because you get to a point where you feel like nobody is paying any attention to you) but if you are in a position to offer help whether it be in a classroom or a forum - you should do just that. And you always have the option of remaining silent if you don´t have anything nice to say!
