Subject: What about people with business education
Are there any jobs for newcomers with experience in sales / or marketing field. I used to work as sales rep. and than as conference coordinator at the hotel, my husband works for international company (first in sales , now in finance). Do you think is there a chance to get a job following our education and experience, when we move to Canada ?

Sure Marta,
Sales and marketing is the backbone of any company. Moreover if u have a business degree with very good communication skills, that would be a big plus. Skills like cold calling, both out side and inside sales experience and hunger for money. Sales people are welcome in very industry and they are one of the most successful entrepreneurs in long run. As u said ur hubby was in sales and now in finance, I am sure he would make good career in financial sales or as a financial advisor. I am personally in sales and keep researching for jobs over the internet. Canada has lot of opportunities for good sales people with excellent communication skills. Yes, u must be technology literate.

Thanks for your answers ..and I have one more question. As I wrote before I used to work in sales for couple years, but now I would like to change it a little bit and work as a trainer/ or consultant in cross-cultural, diversuty issues. I am mostly interested in cross cultural management and marketing (I have MA in Business Management and now I am doing second faculty - psychology). Do you think I would be able to find a job in this area? or it is already field fully occupied.

My personal advice, don´t switch ur profession. Continue what u r good at and also have experience in. U may explore possibilities but they are limited. Eventually what u did in past will land u in a good. Remember not everybody can sell and sales profession is on a boom.
