First, I am among you guys too, I have to wait and wait and wait. I got my package return once in Oct 2004, even though I submit all my transcripts in two public institutions of Canada with reference letter from Canadian instructors here. Also wrote a cover letter about my English proficiency. Still, as the return letter, it mentioned?? you have to tell us when and where do you have your English training.?? It??s too causal to say, ??I learn English from ??Sesame Street?? ??Thomas?? from TV (actually that??s the way it is, I didn??t go to ESL schools, I learn English by myself from TV), and in bargaining with garage sell??. However, immigration process is a legal process, you have to claim. I have to claim, when and where, exactly sentence saying that. You may think it??s stupid to claim ??Yijie is a male?? rather than female or transsexual person, even though he just claims he always goes to male washrooms rather than female. That??s just the legal process, that??s the way it is. If we wanna come to Canada, have to obey this rule. Therefore, try to collect as much as evidence of your English proficiency if possible.
Second, talking about why CIC never takes calls and seldom return mail or fax. The thing is this, in Canada, there is a law called ??privacy act??(sorry if I said it wrong, I am not law student and I am not Canadian too). It prohibits any organization sharing your personal information. Think like this, if somebody use my name and phone CIC, also he has all my information with himself, do you think CIC officers can judge from the voice from telephone that this is Yijie rather that somebody else? The way CIC never picks up the phone is trying to protect your personal information.

That??s it; they have to in charge of the whole process in North America. One time I read FAQ, it said that they receive 200 fax everyday.
After understanding those facts, what can we do? Make our package readable is a good option. The most important things I wanna mention is please please be patient.
Don??t quit your job, sell your property, do whatever you should do. I still go to Tuesday movie centre rather than try to scare myself and surf in the forum and get negative news. People have already lived in Canada like me, just keep working hard or studying hard like the way it is. As time goes by, you may never feel it??s passing. People haven??t lived in Canada, tried to collect as much as information about the place you will go, like job market, community environment stuff.
CIC immigration process is a legal process, as long as we have enough points and we didn??t fake anything, should have no problem, just wait and wait, prepare everything if possible, but do not change your life.
Ok, I always think that life should be happy, no matter you are wealthy or rich, no matter you have Canadian citizenship or some third countries citizenship, just please have a little bid fun please, that??s what I wanna say.

you are just a 20s kid, do you think people like middle age want to waste such long time? you think before you said.
Because you have full-time job,doesn´t mean you can kick othters.You are nothing, if you come to big city, you can not even work as a labour job, kid!
Don´t try to be a good guy and say some stupid stuff here,
are you a social workers or something? why you pay such attention to here, helping people, be a helpful guy? excuse me!
