Subject: CBSA interview
  Hi Roy / Sharron,
Today i received letter from CBSA toronto airport road office. they asked us to be there on Feb 28,2009 and bring phone bills and all documents issued by Canada.
We have no problem to go there, but my husband is unable to travel. We live in Tilbury, Ontario. My husband had spine surgery yesterday and as per his surgeon , he can´t sit or stand more than 10 minutes for the next 3 - 4 months.

Please tell me what should we do now? Can CBSA extend the interview. We already appeared once before CBSA Toronto in 2006. Our H & C application is under process since 2005.

Please please advise us!!!

Common sense get a letter from the Doctor and fax it in to CBSA call to get the right fax number but you could fax to 905-405-3535 but I suggest call at 905-405-3500

Thanks Roy!
I called them and they asked for the copy of hospital discharge letter, which I fax them and they extend the interview date till June 2009.

Thanks again.

hi roy,
me and my husband came in toronto on 1st december 2006 from india. we applied for refugee claim on the basis of hindu muslim ground, since i was born a hindu and married a muslim. It got rejected in march 2009. My son was born in canada the same month. we appeal to federal court. The appeal was denied too. we are waiting for our prra and has already applied our humantirain and compassionate ground on 21st january 2010. I have many questions? Reply to them will be deeply appreciated. How long does it take for the officer to make decision on prra application? Can my hubsand´s employer sponspor him on work permit if we retuen back to india? If we go underground in canada how would it affect my canadaian son life..like can he goto school and doctors office? Any suggestions will be appreciated. please help.

You did not appeal, you filed a motion for (leave to appeal) and failed to get permission to appeal!

Looks like you got a lot of bad advice. Why wait three years to submit H&C application?

PRRA decisons can be very quick or 3-4 years long it all depends on the submissions.

How can one answer about the work permit issue if they do not know the occupation and the rest of the details. That route is a far better route then going underground.

letter from gtec (in reply to: CBSA interview)
i recevied letter from greater toronto enforcement centre to attend in person to receive decision made to my application to the minister for protection under the immigration and refugee protection act. I have several questions first one that is this means that they might may asking me for deportation or departure or it could be possible that decision has been made in my favour.I n the letter they asked me to bring four passport size photographs if they want me to leave in case then why they ask for photos. The last application i filed was prra so this decision is based on that? can i filed for humantirain and compassionate ground or i am too late for it bec i got married last july and my husband applied for me for pr so can i request on humantirain basis.

Refugee (in reply to: CBSA interview)
My parents had applied refugee status and was rejected. My dad passed away last year and my mum received a Pre-REmoval letter last year after the death of my dad. my mum was called by the border security last year. now once again she received a letter to attend in person in november 2012. they are asking for valid """""passport, birthcert, 4 passport size photograph, proof of any immigration appeals or federal court applications, if applicable and all other docutments issued and/or your dependants by the govt of canada."""""
After my mum and dad were refused as refugees, they applied on humanitarian and compasionate gounds. recently my mum was asked to apply again on h&c basis. she is now confused and does not know where she stands in this process.
i want to know what will cbsa say to her at the interview. she is 75 years old and is living in canada since 14 years and had come on a visit visa and then applied for minister´s permit.
thank you verymuch for your kindness and would appreicte your quick response.
