Hello everybody
I am here to ask a question
I am 23 year old man live and study in canada and have a valid study permit i recently got married to my spouce and we are thinking about apply to get my PR status..well..
She works and she had a good income but she is older than me and had a different religon too!!!
i know it does not really matter as long as love is there...
She is 39 been married before and have 2 kids .. we live togather have a lease in our names ,joint bank account,joint credit cards,joint insurance Polices ...
What my chances will be if she will apply for me to stay in canada and would u think i should do to proof that our relation is genuine and continuous..
We have pictures of us and with the kids on picnics and goingout stuff and pictures of the wedding ceremony ...

i DON´T THINK 16 YEARS IS A BIG DEAL. MI HUSBAND IS 17 YEARS OLDER THAN ME( HE LOOKS JUST 5 YEARS OLDER THAN ME THOUGH)AND OUR APPLICATION IS GOING WELL SO FAR...WELL IAM IN MY LATE 20´S . I DON´T KNOW WHETHER THEY HAVE PREDJUDICES OR NOT ABOUT THE AGE. I´VE HEARD SOME CASES HAVE TO BE TRANSEFERED TO A LOCAL OFFICE TO BE UNDER INVESTIGATION IF THEY DOUBT THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS GENUINE.
I HAD A FRIEND WHOSE APPLICATION GOT TRANSFERED TO A LOCAL OFFICE BECUASE SHE AND HER HUSBAND HAD A HUGE AGE DIFFERENCE. THE CASE TOOK LONGER TO PROCESS AND WHEN SHE WENT TO HER INTERVIEW CIC HAD PICTURES OF HER WHEN SHE WAS MOVING WITH HER HUSBAND TO A DIFFERENT HOUSE.
FROM MY PERSONAL POINT OF VIEW I DON´T THINK THEY HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO BE SPYING ON EACH APPLICANT, BUT MAYBE SOME CASES THAT MAY LOOK SUSPICIOUS ARE CONDUCTED UNDER INVESTIGATION. ANYWAYS THEY WOULD LET YOU KNOW WHETHER THEY THINK OR NOT ABOUT YOUR CASE.

you have discovered the hidden secret of loving an older woman! congratulations. (my fiance is significantly younger than me too).
I understand your concern because we had the same ones. Have you considered applying on your own merits? You will get some extra investigation - so plan for it. CIC is in the dark ages but by what you say... you have nothing to worry about.
