Hai,
Recently on jan 11/01/05 we submitted our documents like Home country PCC,Proof of funds,FBI cleareance and my lawyer adviced that money order amount is reduced 715USD to 820 USD .IS it true.Does any body sumitted recently .To How much amount You will took Money order to candian consulate.
Please let me know ??????

the Canadian fees have not changed but the value of the US dollar to Canadian dollar has. I would strongly recommend you not use the amount shown on the website. Instead, go to your bank and request a draft in Canadian funds. You will get the exchange rate of the day and perhaps save yourself some money. if it turns out that the exchange rate has worked against you... just revert to the set rate posted on the website.

By the way, why is the canadain government asking the poor immigrants this much money (975 dollars) to land? Is this really fair? Did every immigran to this country "paid" to settle in canada?

I submitted $715 like u did as the information i was given at the consulate had $715.Then i got a call from LA consulate asking me to send $105 more as the fees has increased. so i think u may need to send that amount to the consulate

I have been told that the cost to process your application is even more than they charge you. An application and processing fee insures that the applicant is serious and does not waste CIC´s time.
Anybody checked what it costs to apply to Austrailia?

Everyone,
In bigger scheme of things 1200-1500 dollars is not anything compared to what you will get in return. So don´t get all jumpy on fluctuation of currency. Infact welcome to the real world!!
