Subject: Does it count ?PR
I become a PR last November 2008 but I was in Canada for 5 years . Does the 5 years count to my residency requirement.

No. The time starts counting from November when you became a PR.

I didn´t mention that I was on a student permit and work permit for 5 years. I thought they count it as half day

only counts as half days toward citizenship with a minimum of 2 years as a PR


If you are talking about the 2 out of 5 to keep PR status then it started on the day you landed. Why would anything else add to it? You were not a PR then
