| Subject: Funds - what is the exact amount now? |

I applied aug-15-2007 We?re 5 in the family. I sent the forms on may 15-2008. In one of the forms I declared I have like 21500 CAD, now they require me to show the proof of funds. I just saw on the immigration webpage that now applicants w/a family of 5 I need to show CAD 22831.
Since I applied some time ago and put the right amount in the form.(wich was enough) What amount sohuld I show now?, the CAD 21500 or CAD 22831?
If I show the amount I declared, will they accept it?

You would show CAD 22831 as that is the requirement. If you cannot show the required amount then your case may be rejected.

Well you have to show the current required amount but you can include everything in your networth like cash, jewellery, vehicles, land, property, bank balance, fixed deposits etc, all movable and immovable is accepted.

Immovable assets are not considered for immigration purposes only liquid assets such as cash, fixed deposits, etc. Immovable assets are useful in getting visitor or student visa as they show that you have significant ties to your home country and will return to your country.

Hi Guys,
My application is in Sydney now and hopefully I will get the passing marks. The only problem I am facing is that I dont have enough funds in my bank but I got a property which I am willing to sale if I am 100% sure of getting through the whole process .Can Somebody plz tell me at what stage will they be asking about the proof and if I provide them with an evalueation of property will they accept it.
