Subject: TRV rejected due to regulation 179
  Dear Mr/Ms,

I have applied for a TRV yesterday (single entry), 1 application for my husband and me, all my documents are completed, this morning I have received our passports together with a letter that our visa is rejected.

Following is the reason marked on the refusal notice: "You have not satisfied me that you meet the requirements of Regulation 179; that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period if you were authorized to stay. In reaching this decision I considered your ties to your country of residence/citizenship balanced against factors which might motivate you to stay in Canada.

I have submitted a letter from HR department in my company addressed to The Canadian Embassy that I am on leave from and to and that I have to be back to work on a specific date but it seems that it was not enough.

I was born, studied and worked in Abu Dhabi, and spent my whole life here, my mother, brother and sister live and work here, I have to come back because I have t go back to work plus I have to still take care of my old mother.

My question is what documents can support my application?

We were so excited to visit Canada and see our friends but it seems it is much more complicated.

Please advice.

Best regards,

hi (in reply to: TRV rejected due to regulation 179)
it is generaly seen that if the applicant does not have a travel history out of uae (or home country) and returned back ... some times they reject the applicant out of the fear that they might not come back.... it all depends on the officer .....
regards.

Nothing to worry.

we had the same problem in last spring(i forget to include bank statement)

The comment from visa officer was same as yours.

On my second attempt I showed my bank statement and a return ticket. It was approved without any problem.

I am sure that your next application will be reviwed by another visa officer .Try again

I wouldn´t. what CIC is looking for are compelling reasons for you to return home - like a job with set holidays.

It is unfortunate that others before you have abused the system to the point where CIC trusts no one to do as they say.

Just some few abused the system this dosent mean CIC officials abuse thier power to reject.

I totally agree with CIC to reject provided they find a fault or fraud in application.

I would request CIC Officials not just give general excuse and reject simply with no reason.

I am in similar situation, inviting my parents and rejected in same context.

Canada is not a retail store where you can demand customer service, or return policy that suits the customer.

the sooner you understand that Canada has no obligation to say yes to your application the less frustrated you will be.
