Subject: advice on correcting application for immigration
  My application for Canada Immigration is ongoing. I filed in my application my one year old daughter as natural born but actually she was adopted. How can i retract her from my application? I already submitted her birth certifcate although her adoption is on the process? How would i go about informing the Embassy and wish to correct the real status of my daughter. Please help me what to do? I need your advice urgently. Thank you.

Write a letter to the Embassy explaining everything.

Thanks for your advise.

However,if i write to the Embassy, will it not lead to negative reply from the Embassy? Is my case somoe sort of a misreprentation? If so,what would be the possible consequences?

Will wait for your reply,urgently? Many thanks

IRPA 16 (1) is what you really need to worry about. You should not worry about misrepresentation this is far more serious.

A legally adopted female child is your daughter.

A female child of someone else is _______________!

Any adoption that is IN PROCESS must be compared to the majority of people viewing this site who have a CIC Application (IN PROCESS) They and you have not been approved as of yet.

You may think of this little angel as your child but until the adoption is legal you have a house guest in nature.

I assumed that you could find the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act by Google.

http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/showdoc/cs/I-2.5/bo-ga:l_1-gb:l_1//en#anchorbo-ga:l_1-gb:l_1

Then scroll down a little to section 16.

Obligation ? answer truthfully

16. (1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

Gina --- Misrepresentation is in the same section just scroll down further.

Misrepresentation

40. (1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation

(a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act;

(b) for being or having been sponsored by a person who is determined to be inadmissible for misrepresentation;

(c) on a final determination to vacate a decision to allow the claim for refugee protection by the permanent resident or the foreign national; or

(d) on ceasing to be a citizen under paragraph 10(1)(a) of the Citizenship Act, in the circumstances set out in subsection 10(2) of that Act

If the child is not legally adopted as per the rules of the country in question you have lied IRPA 16 or could be written up IRPA 40 (1) (a)

CIC will know because in the required document section you have to show the child is yours!!!!
