| Subject: Applying for Canadian visa in Canada |
My mother in law has come from India and her visa of 6 months will expire in just over a month. Is she able to apply for another 6 month visa in Toronto..? or will she have to go back to India and reapply again. I am getting mixed responses hence I hope I get the right advice from here, Thankyou.

How long has she been in Canada? If she has been 5 months and she was authorized to stay 6 months she would need to apply for an extention.
Keep in mind though that you have (or she has) to apply for an extention at least a month before her permit to stay in Canada expires.
