Subject: skilled worker application rejected
  Hi everyone,
I filed for skilled worker application in Feb 2009 which got rejected due to non-inclusion in 38 categories (I selected my category from NOC list). However, I understand that my job do fit into one of the 38 categories.
Can I reapply my case giving the reference of past rejection?

Tell us what exact job title from NOC did you put in there? Was it there in the ministry list? Or was it not there?

I guess you can re-apply. But let me know the answer so that I can guide you.

hi there,
thanks for the reply. I applied initially as ´Information system analyst´ (code no: 2174). However, this does not come under the ministerial list (38 categories).
I now want to apply as ´Information system manager´ i.e. code no: 0213. Can I reapply? Will my application be reconsidered as an amendment to my last application?

Hi , my application in the category of federal skilled worker has been rejected due to the wrong noc category 1114-financial planner. I have done my certified financial planner course and have 7 years experience. i am a senior manager in my company. kindly tell me in what category i should apply. and also since my application has been rejected is there a timeframe in which i have to wait before i reapply?

you can re-apply tomorrow but... you need to have skills and job experience that match the restricted NOC list. You may be in the same situation as the IT applicants - there is no option for immigration at this time until the economy and job market changes.
