Hello everyone.
I have been looking to immigrate to Canada from the US for a couple of years now, and have been finding the process very discouraging.
It especially became harder after I was convicted of a Class B Misdemeanor in the US 2 years ago. The wait for a pardon is simply impossible in my situation.
However, I fell in love with a Canadian citizen years ago, which is why I have been trying to immigrate. But the conviction classifies me as "Unadmissable".
Is there anything I can do to be allowed to be in Canada? I love this woman very much and I don´t want to believe there is nothing that can be done.
Thank you.

(in reply to: inadmissibility - please help) Assuming you´re a U.S. citizen, you could get married and sponsor her to live with you in the U.S. A criminal background is going to be hard to overcome, no matter how slight, as you´ve seen. Sponsorship of your wife to the U.S. would eliminate the long wait.

Canada has summary and indictable offenses. Indictable is a more serious offense. Summary conviction is two years less a day maximum sentence.
So what is a Class "B" misdemeanor???
Your conviction must be equated to something in the Canadian Criminal Code.
Your in the states correct so apply for a TRP to overcome your inadmissibility and explain in GREAT detail how this lady has changed your behavior totally around.
The cost is only $200.00 CA which right now is only about $140.00 USD
Why R U so negative? All is not lost.
