im planning to go back for 3 wks holiday in the philippines on july 2009 and my visa will expired this coming month.how to apply re entry visa here in canada?what are the requirements?i want that i got my re entry b4 ill go for holiday..thanks

REQUIREMENTS ACCORDING TO MY EXPERIENCE:
1. Application form from the web: IMM 5257:
2. Copy of work permit
3. Photo ( as specified)
4. Letter of employment...(might need to show this from your home country.
5. Letter from employer in support/ permission of your vacation outside Canada) specify date and year, so the officer could issue you visa with enough date inclusive.
6. Bank draft / for fee
7. T-4 copy...(financial support is one of the requirements)
8. Itinerary copy/ ticket copy
9. Document Checklist
10. Passport/ original.
mail it registered to:
Consulate General of Canada
HSBC Center Suite 3000
BUffalo New York
14203-2884
be sure to have your own copy of all these before sending to Buffalo and send it six weeks ahead of your vacation.
they usually issue the re entry visa after 30 days...but give some days/ 2 weeks allowance.
or: if you have not enough time to wait for six weeks. you may get from Manila/ Canada Embassy your re entry.

u can pay through any bank. then send the draft with your application to buffalo.
in manila. havent tried it. but friends said, could take for 2 days. but u have to be early there, then, back again another day. not sure. but for ofws, its a waste of time to wait in manila.
while u have time here, why not process it here..as u wait for july.

payable to CIC. check the website for that. or if u want u may pay through online. pls order an application form from CIC, they will send u draft u can use to any bank.
dont send cash to cic. they will not accept it.

u may order the forms online. they will send u the forms and that draft u can use with any bank.
and yes, mail your application registered.
after 4-5 weeks, they will send u your passport with re entry visa.
