Guys ! what do you think about the TENTS CITIES issues , is this showing something about the real situation in any where and in any way ?

in the boom economy there were tent cities - for some of the ´residents they would prefer to not work or buy drugs than have to pay for shelter. ?n other cases it is the mentally ill/drug addicted that are getting caught in a system that has traditionally cared for one problem or the other - not both.

A couple of years ago we looked at the idea of moving to Calgary. At the time, the housing situation was terrible and many people--including employed professionals--were forced to live in the parks as a result of a severe housing shortage. I doubt the situation is the same today, but we certainly didn´t want to put ourselves in that position (not to mention the severe shortage of doctors, the overcrowding of schools, and general lack of sufficient infrastructure to handle a sudden boom cycle). I wonder if that´s what you are referring to?

economic growth or contraction is always a tough transition. no matter where you move, you contract the size of one community and expand the community you go to. If others do the same... well, the discomfort grows exponentially. Same thing happens when everyone has babies all at once (read 1950´s)
That expansion closes or opens schools, it puts stress on health care - in both directions until government has a chance to adapt. not sure how to avoid it.
