I am a canadian citizen living outside canada for the last 25 years. I applied to sponsor my spouse (all my children are already canadians born outside canada). My application was refused on the basis that the visa office is not satisfied that I will move to canada once my spouse is issued PR visa. though I have made housing and job arrangement in canada. i received notice of appeal. But it will take a year or two and also the cost of hiring lawyer. Can any advise me the shortest route to win my case. Should I send my arguments to visa office OR send letter to the Minister to look into my case. HOW DO ONE SATISFY THE VISA OFFICER THAT HE/SHE WILL RESIDE IN CANADA.

(in reply to: spousal sponsorship by canadian citizen abroad) Move back to Canada. Apply while you are in the country and reapply once you have arrived and can show a current residential address in Canada.
