Hi Everybody
I just landed 2 weeks ago in Toronto, still waiting for my PR card, I would like to go to the US, to my son school to request for his transfer papers for admission into Ontario school, my son is a US citizen. I am from a visa waiver country, I was in the US 15 years ago and overstayed for a couple of months. My question is if I am turned away at the border, how do I reenter Canada? Since I did not receive my PR card, will they allow me to reenter using COPR documents?
Please advise urgently.
Thanks

Landed question (in reply to: Landed question) Hi Roy, Sharon
Please advise, I just landed 2 weeks ago in Toronto, still waiting for my PR card, I would like to go to the US, to my son school to request for transfer papers for admission into Ontario school. My son is a US Citizen, I am from a visa waiver country, I was in the US 15 years ago and overstayed a few months. My question is if I am turned away at the border or airport, how do I reenter Canada? Since I did not yet receive my PR card, can I enter using the COPR documents?
Please advise urgently.
Thanks

(in reply to: Landed question) Ciao, Since we are from a visa waiver country, you don´t need to wait for PR card. Usually it takes about 45 days. Perhaps someone can post you the PR card when that arrives.
You don´t have to face any problem to reenter to Canada. Good luck.
