Subject: Do paid internship terms count as work experience? |
Assume you are on a paid co-op or internship (part of a college diploma or university degree), doing exactly what is described in the NOC list for a particular position. Will CIC see that as valid work experience?

YES !!! You can (in reply to: Do paid internship terms count as work experience?) yes it is...
as long as you can get letters from your boss saying that you worked in the company from so and so dates doing so and so duties.. and were paid this much... As well as Proof that you were legally alliwed to work... it should be grreat...

(in reply to: Do paid internship terms count as work experience?) I went thru the university co-op program for 16 months (4 terms of 4 months each) ...but when i applied for PR they did not give me points for it during the paper screening (info from CAIPS notes)
I dug deeper for more info ...and found some links according to which co-op experience must count towards points.

R75 and R80 were clear regarding work experience.
Please read thru and share your opinion.
