| Subject: PR CARD RENEWAL TIMES |

Hi
My card is showing as approved online since March 5th 2009, how long does it take till you receive, as I need to travel in the next few days.I have already sent an urgent request and they sent an email saying there is no guarantee but they have informed the relevant sections to have it expedited. Does anyone think I will receive befor ethe end of the week.I am in the Mississauga,ontario area.
Any help will be appreciated.

this is a renewal card and on ecas it says within four weeks

Go to Toronto Central CIC and pick it up. Or worse case they will know and you can get in there.

even though i didnt get a letter inviting me to pick up the card i can go to toronto central and i will get it?
dont they need the letter and an appointment is necessary for pick up of the card?

It would take at least 2 weeks.
You´ll get a letter advising you the location to pick up. Usually no appoinment is needed, it´ll be there for you for the next months, anytime you can go and pick up with the proper identifcations and the papers they ask you to bring.
I don´t know whethr you can get it from Toronto Central without any confirming letter. Never heard of this process.

I called the call centre and they advised it has been sent to st. clair office toronto yesterday. The question is do i need to wait for the letter inviting me to pick up or can i go knowing it haas been sent there.

By the book you have to wait for the letter from them. You are supposed to bring that letter with the required docs.

We have landed in Canada in June 2006 and got PR.Then we left Canada due to personal inevitable reasons.We are planning to reenter canada by May´2010 and wish to settle down and seek admission to University for my son.
We have the following queries:
1)Our PR is valid till June 2011 and whether we will be allowed to enter in Canada by May´2010 ?
2)After our entering into Canada Whether our PR will be renewed by June 2011?
3)If not, whether we will have any options to continue and renew the PR.
Kindly give the clarifications as we wish to settle down in canada.
