Nothing is Lost!

You have two options.

Option 1 WAIT!

Option 2 Withdraw application/undertaking and apply outside of Canada and PROVE your relationship ten times better.

Now you can be together here or you can go home and wait. Be careful to tell the truth about your address on schedule one. If you are going to stay put here!

Trust me....Dont mess with Immigration...and dont withdraw your appication. Its a normal procedure to transfer the file to the local office, the reason being, an interviwe is required in your case. make sure u have enough documents to prove the relation is genuine, like joint Bank accounts, property accounts, utility bills,ect....
Did you or your spouse attend any interview before comming to canada with any canadian immigration center outside canada?

SPONSORING HUSBAND (in reply to: Spousal Sponsorship transfered to Local CIC office)
My husband was the principal sponsor and he landed with our family of 3 children in 2005. Subsequently we have been visiting on short stay since we were not sure of settling down due to job and other issues. Now we have decided to stay here and I have landed with my kids last year and I shall be completing the 730 days eligibility for PR renewal next year, but my husband will not able to complete his eligibility stay as he is working abroad. How can I get my husband sponsored after his PR expires and what are the legal options available to me to get him here after his PR expires? please help.

LOST

Been in Canada for 7 years and now your married, hmmmm.

Now lets say you came as a student and just stayed.
Regardless of the time you have spent in Canada legally a portion of that has probably been with NO STATUS! One year legal and six illegal, or???

So now your married and CIC is not satisfied regarding your supporting documentation that you submitted to prove your relationship is genuine.

More like 36 months for Etobicoke to process a spousal interview. If successful they will give you another letter stating it will be one to two years before Landing.

Do you not miss your home country and extended family there?

Hey Lost
I dont think u need to worry abt this. Coz i am also in the same situation, my file were also transfd on last week of feb to local CIC and after 20 days(Mar) i got a letter for local office that they were requested by vegerville to process and soon an officer will be looking into my file and if interviw req , then they will callme or send me a mail. I am pretty sure that you will also get the same letter, coz they send the same formatted letter to almost every one. when i applied to extend my visa, the file was tasferd to local CIC, then first i got a letter from local office
( the very same wordings)and after a 27 days i got a call from the local office and the officer asked me a lot of questions(37 min call)i gave her al info she needed, it was more like a questioning session, but the very second day they sent me the document and i got my extention for a year....
So keep ur fingers crossed and i am sure u will also get a letter soon....All the best

Hey Roy,
I have been with status for the full 7 years so there has never been an illegal part in my file or history. I have been on student and visitors visas legally for the entire time. Of course throughout my 7 years I met my husband, we moved in together and eventually we got engaged and were married.
The vegeville office told me max length in etobicoke is 12 months where do you get the 36 months from if i may ask?
As well of course I miss my home county and my family thats why I am lost and freaking out because I am dying to go back and visit my family and godson that I have yet to see but I do not want to jeapordize my future in canada with my husband as well as my application process by leaving the country and then not being able to get back in to Canada, and then start everything from scratch...
