Hi, Im just looking for some information on marrying an non-canadain. My fiance is working here in Canada on a work visa, we are planning on getting married next summer, but we were told that if we got married before his work visa expires that he would be allowd to stay and not have to go through the proccess of applying for a residential visa, if this is the case we would move the wedding up a few months and have it done before hsi visa expired. If this is true at all, or if anyone has any informaiton regarding marrying a non-canadian please let me know! Thanks

(in reply to: Marrying an Austrian in Canada on a work visa) There are two types of SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIPS In Canada----
They are In Status and Out of Status applications.
Both take at least six months to see any results. You may want to submit an overseas application.
